A Perfect Bachelorette Party in New York City
The best bachelorette activities in NYC
Whether it’s a girls getaway or a bachelorette party, New York City (NYC) is full of bachelorette activities making it the perfect destination to spend a weekend with your best gals. I am absolutely in love with this city so of course I chose it as the place to spend my #Mosbachelorette. In an unforgettable weekend, my bridesmaids helped me close out my last few days as a Mosbach. Our time spent there will forever be some of my favorite memories. To make some epic memories of your own, check out how we spent two-days in the concrete jungle. And, if this is your first time visiting NYC, you may choose to purchase the NYC city pass if you plan on visiting many of the NYC attractions to save yourself some money.
WHERE TO STAY
There are an endless amount of options to choose from in NYC for a bachelorette weekend. And, choosing where to stay will largely depend on how you want to spend your time in NYC. Midtown will allow you to be close to almost everything, SOHO will offer a more local vibe and a stay in the Lower East Side will have you close to some of the best bars in NYC. Check out a few of my top hotel picks below to celebrate the bride-to-be or use the hotel finder to find the perfect spot for your group.

+ Soho Grand Hotel

DAY 1
SERAFINA’S
Start your bachelorette party in New York City off right by grabbing lunch at Serafina’s. This is the perfect location to grab a drink and bite to eat with the girls. There are plenty of locations across the city, but we chose the one closest to Central Park. Don’t miss your chance to try the Lemon Cooler while there.
MET steps
This was the first time the girls had been in NYC, so I wanted them to see as much as we could with the few days we had. That meant this bachelorette party would be full of all of the top activities that NYC has to offer including the iconic MET steps. We love Gossip Girl so of course this trip couldn’t be complete without a Blair Waldorf moment.
CENTRAL PARK
After the MET steps, head on over to Central Park for a stroll. This is one place that I truly forget how HUGE it is. It’s so lively and for a moment, you don’t think that you are in the middle of one of the biggest cities. Plus, it’s a good way to spend one of my favorite pass times — people watching.
While there, don’t miss the opportunity to take a picture by the infamous fountain shown in Friends.
CHINATOWN AND LITTLE ITALY
Next up, Chinatown and Little Italy! In my NYC for the first timer post, I mention how close these two areas of the city are, which makes it easy to see both neighborhoods.
MILK BAR icecream – nyc
Whenever I’m in Little Italy, I won’t miss the chance to grab ice cream from the Milk Bar. My friends and I are self-titled ice cream queens so of course we had to grab some at one of my favorite places.
After spending most of the day sight seeing, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for some late night bachelorette activities that NYC is known for! Being a soon-to-be bride, I found any reason to wear white. We also happened to be visiting over the fourth of July, so we were able to keep on the red, white and blue theme perfectly.
LIL FRANKIE’S
Our meal at Lil Frankie’s was absolutely perfect! We have a friend who lives in NYC so his local recommendations were spot on. Frankie’s is great for even the pickiest of eaters in your group.
The atmosphere and style of this eatery is magical and hits the mark for any GNO dinner.
NO FUN
After dinner, head right around the corner to No Fun. Don’t judge this bar by its name, though. If you’re looking for a bar to kick off the night, No Fun has a great margarita happy hour that we took advantage of. If you keep walking past the bar, you will run into their lounge seating in the back. Take a seat there and sip on some strong frozen marg’s.
MAKE BELIEVE
My friends and I love to dance so it should come as no surprise that our bar destinations are largely based off of whether or not there is a dance floor. The perfect place for just that was at Make Believe.
This rooftop bar offers gorgeous views of the city and a great dance floor. Not to mention some pretty good drinks, too. Here, you’ll get all the views that Mr. Purple offers, but without the long wait time. Your New York City bachelorette party won’t go wrong when you head here.
KARAOKE AT PLANET ROSE
What’s a girls night without a little karaoke? One in the East Village area is Planet Rose. We randomly stumbled upon this karaoke bar for a quick song. While the decor may throw you off with their bright red walls and zebra couches, it’s a fun place for those who want to sing the night away.
What’s great about NYC is the endless possibilities it will deliver. Over the course of the night, I can’t tell you how many bars we popped in and out of, but it was a night to remember (or not remember). Another bar we loved and ended our night at was Drop Off Service. I’m sure there are many other bars that would be great for a girl’s night out so just let the night take you away. My one last recommendation for the night is grabbing a late night snack before heading back to the hotel. Your body will thank you tomorrow.
DAY 2
CHELSEA MARKET
After a long night, refuel mid-morning by exploring Chelsea Market and the high-line. I love Chelsea Market for the multiple lunch options it provides. You can also hit up some shopping inside.
HIGH LINE
I love taking the city in from a vantage point. The High Line offers just that. Built on a former railroad, the High Line was transformed into an elevated park.
BROOKLYN BRIDGE
After roaming around the High Line, the Brooklyn Bridge is another that should make the list of bachelorette activities while in NYC. Although it is quite a walk, the views more than make up for it.
BROOKLYN
Just on the other side of the bridge you will find Jane’s Carousal. Being on the opposite side of Manhattan, you get a pretty amazing view of it while in Brooklyn.
VINTAGE SHOPPING
If you’re anything like us, a bachelorette party is not complete without some shopping while in New York city. Thanks to our fashionista sista, we spent some time looking around at some of the coolest vintage shops that Brooklyn had to offer: 10ft Single and Chickee’s Vintage.
THE SMITH
Another perfect dinner spot for any group is the Smith. There is something there for everyone and the decor is very industrial chic.
230 FIFTH ROOFTOP
I had been to 230 Fifth before for B and I’s first visit in the city. We had so much fun so, I had to go back with my girls! The mojito’s themselves are enough to make anyone come back but this time around they were offering slushy drinks in these huge pouches. Let’s just say those drinks. are. dangerous. in the best way.
The outdoor space and indoor dance floor make for a great bar to get the party started. And I mean c’mon, the view of the Empire State Building has never looked better.
DREAM BABY BAR + COCKTAIL PARLOUR
This place is the CUTEST! It screams New York cocktail bar. While we originally went to sing karaoke, we stayed to dance around on their swanky couches. It was so fun. I swear it was some sort of time warp because we somehow spent most of our night here just dancing and it was honestly one of the best parts of the trip. I highly recommend.
MR. PURPLE
I know, I know. You’re probably thinking “but Liz these are the same places you went last time in the city.” Well, you know what, YOU WOULD TOO! You don’t ruin a good thing and you don’t pass up a great bar. Plus, you can take advance of your Bachelorette status to skip the line!
TIMES SQUARE AND JOE’S PIZZA
In my honest opinion, I don’t think any trip for the first timer is complete without a visit to Times Square. I recommend this as your last stop of the NYC bachelorette activities — it’s a lot less crowded and so much better to see at night time.
And to top it off, the perfect end to the perfect girls weekend was complete with a slice from Joe’s Pizza.
Anything can happen in a New York minute and that’s what makes it perfect for a bachelorette destination. With the help of this guide, I hope you experience your New York minute celebrating a bride-to-be and loving all the bachelorette activities that NYC has to offer with your favorite girls.
